SPECTACULAR Freeman Boatworks 47T Coated Trailer!
47' Freeman Boat Trailer – Custom Protective Coating ApplicationSerious Protection for a Serious TrailerWhen you're building a trailer to carry a 47-foot Freeman, ordinary isn't really an option. This custom gooseneck boat trailer was built to handle an impressive offshore boat, and we wanted the trailer's finish to provide the same level of durability and attention to detail as the equipment it was designed to carry.
The solution was a professionally applied protective coating system by SprayOnLiner.com, designed to create an extremely tough, durable finish while giving the trailer a distinctive custom appearance.
A Complete Tear-Down for Proper CoatingOne of the most important parts of this project happened before the coating was ever sprayed. The trailer was initially fabricated and assembled by the trailer manufacturer. Once the initial build was complete, it was substantially disassembled and transported to our facility for coating. Why go through all that work?
Because a project like this deserves more than simply spraying around installed hardware and components.Disassembling the trailer allowed us to properly access and coat the structure before final assembly. This gave us better control over the application and allowed the protective coating to become an integral part of the finished trailer rather than an afterthought. After the coating process was completed, the trailer was returned to the manufacturer for final assembly.A Tough, Textured Protective FinishThe finished coating has the rugged, textured appearance many people associate with a premium spray-on truck bed coating—but this application demonstrates how versatile professional protective coatings can be.Applied to the trailer structure, the coating creates a hard, durable protective surface built for demanding use. That's particularly important on a trailer of this size.Launching, loading, towing, road debris, equipment, weather, moisture and everyday use can all take their toll on a conventional painted trailer. A properly prepared and professionally applied protective coating provides another level of defense for surfaces that are expected to work. And on a trailer designed to carry a 47-foot offshore boat, that's exactly what we were looking for.Protection Without Sacrificing AppearanceDurability was only part of the goal. The trailer's fenders demonstrate how a specialty coating system can also be incorporated into a high-end custom finish. After the fenders received their protective coating, they were finished with automotive paint to achieve the custom blue color seen on the completed trailer. The combination gives the trailer a unique appearance that complements the Freeman while maintaining the rugged character of the underlying coating. It's a great example of what can be accomplished when protective coatings and custom finishing are considered together instead of as two completely separate processes.Built Around a 47' FreemanOnce coating was complete, the trailer went back for final assembly—and the finished package is impressive. The custom gooseneck trailer was designed specifically around the 47' Freeman and includes a full upper deck with perimeter handrail, side access ladder, hydraulic jacks, backup manual jack system, loading lights, reverse lights, dual tail lights, wide-load signage, warning flashers and other purpose-built equipment. The result is much more than a boat trailer. It's a professionally built transportation system designed around an extraordinary boat—and our protective coating became part of that complete build.Specialty Coatings Go Far Beyond Pickup BedsProjects like this are one of the reasons we're passionate about what we do at SprayOnLiner.com.Spray-applied protective coatings aren't limited to pickup truck beds.Trailers. Commercial vehicles. Marine equipment. Work trucks. Fabricated components. Industrial equipment. Specialty projects. If it needs a durable protective surface, there's a good chance we can develop a coating specification for it.More importantly, we don't believe every project should receive exactly the same treatment. Substrate, environment, intended use, UV exposure, appearance and the type of abuse the finished product will encounter all matter when determining the right application.Your Project. The Right Coating System. This 47' Freeman trailer is a perfect example of what's possible when the coating application is considered as part of the build from the beginning. The trailer was built, disassembled, professionally coated, returned for final assembly and finished as a complete custom package. That's a lot more involved than simply spraying a coating over a finished trailer—and the end result speaks for itself. At SprayOnLiner.com, we specialize in protective coating applications for customers who need more than an ordinary finish.Whether you're protecting a boat trailer, commercial trailer, work vehicle, fabricated component or something completely outside the box, bring us the project and let's talk about how we can protect it.Built to Protect.
